Hailing from Bradford, West Yorkshire, Shaun first gained attention with his astonishing debut role as Swifty in the 2013 film The Selfish Giant. Sean is also known for notably portraying Gerry Roberts in the soap opera Emmerdale and has since appeared in a range of high-profile productions, including Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children (2016), The Brothers Grimsby (2016), Ali & Ava (2021) as Callum, and the miniseries The Long Shadow (2023).
A major career milestone came in 2023 with his nuanced performance as Badger in the film How to Have Sex. This role earned him the British Independent Film Award for Best Supporting Performance. Shaun is expanding his global reach with an upcoming role as Raymun Fossoway in the HBO series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (2026)
