Shaun Thomas

Hailing from Bradford, West Yorkshire, Shaun first garnered attention with his standout debut role in Clio Barnard’s sophomore feature, The Selfish Giant. For his role as Swifty, he received the Best British Newcomer award at the 2013 London Film Festival. Shaun is also known for portraying Gerry Roberts in the soap opera Emmerdale, and has since appeared in a range of high-profile productions, including Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children (2016), The Brothers Grimsby (2016), Ali & Ava (2021), and the miniseries The Long Shadow (2023).

A major career milestone came in 2023, with Shaun’s performance as the deeply nuanced Badger in Molly Manning Walker’s debut, How to Have Sex. This role earned him the British Independent Film Award for Best Supporting Performance. Expanding his global reach, Shaun can most recently be seen in the role of Raymun Fossoway in HBO’s lauded Game of Thrones prequel, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (2026).
