Maria Shehata

Maria Shehata is a multi award-winning Egyptian-American comedian based in London and has been featured on BBC, Comedy Central, Showtime, Channel 5, NuVo TV, and Comic Relief’s viral video Modern Dating Horror Stories. She is winner of Best Comedian at the Hollywood Festival of New Cinema, and Best Comedy at the Miami Web Fest where she was nominated for Best Actress. Maria was shortlisted as one of the Five Best New Acts at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe by The 99 Club and was named Pick of the Fringe at the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe. Her writing has been published in the New York Times.
