A regular with the RSC and the National Theatre, Adrian earned widespread acclaim for his role as Reverend Hale in The Old Vic’s production of The Crucible. Offstage, Adrian has been longlisted for an Emmy for his role as Caisphus in PBS series The Bible, as well as landing major roles in ITV’s Victoria, BBC’s Black Earth Rising and the first season of Silk. It should also be noted that Adrian is no stranger to the silver screen, landing roles in the likes of The Danish Girl, Suffragette and Beauty and the Beast. Most recently, Adrian has starred in the biopic Tolkein. Most recently, he reprised his role of Aethelhem for the fifth season of Netflix’s The Last Kingdom as well as appearing in Death in Paradise.
